My Terrible Day (1)

August 24th, 2010 by Brenton Webb, under Website.

OMG What a shit day! It first started out this morning when i had to speak to 500 employees of iprimus in which they were no help so i fixed it myself. Then on the bus to tafe this child pisses all over the bus over the windows and seats so the rest of the journey all you could smell was piss. Then after my driving lesson i catch the bus home in which it breaks down at a stop that doesnt have a shelter so im left standing there for 20 mins in the rain. I then get off at macaz where they screw up my order about 3 times and then have to walk home in the rain and hail. And to top off this already shit day as im walking along the side of the road a truck decides to drive over a massive puddle and drench me in water.

GRRRRRRR now i feel sick :( FML

Remember Me To Do List (1)

August 23rd, 2010 by Brenton Webb, under Website.

So at the moment when i am not busy i am creating my new application which is a to do list. The reason for this is how easy it is to forget those important things you need to do and with Remember Me you will be guaranteed not to forget again.

With Remember Me you can connect using your facebook or Twitter accounts if you don’t want to use the main sites registration and you can syncronize your lists with your facebook accounts. It is still currently in development so heres a screeny for everyone to take a look at.

Feel free to tell me what you think in a comment.

The newsletter will contain all information, events, new products etc that happened over the previous month and you can unsubscribe to the newsletter if you wish at any time.

Facebook Connect (0)

August 9th, 2010 by Brenton Webb, under Social Media.

The social media tool i decided to research is Facebook Connect which is becoming widely popular among websites and developers. For those that don’t know Facebook connect is a plugin developed by Facebook that let’s visitors to your site login to your site, blog, forum anything using there facebook profile. Facebook connect is very beneficial to not only website developers but for visitors as well as it increases the amount of users they can get on there website. Not everyone is a fan of registering for each new site having to fill in all there details and maybe even go to there emails just to activiate there account. With Facebook connect it makes it easier with just one click of a button and allowing you will be on the website.

Some things already have the option to install Facebook connect by just installing the plugin. Websites like WordPress, Blogger and other CMS systems have this and make it easier if you are not comfortable with installing it yourself. I will show you now how you can get Facebook connect and how it is added to any website.

And here is a test forum i setup that has Facebook connect already built in. You have two options here one is to register to the site or you can register for the site using your facebook profile. As you can see with the site registration you will need to enter all your details from username, password, email address and more. You will then have to activate your account via an email. Now i will show you how easy it is to connect via Facebook by simply clicking the Facebook connect button.

I hope this has given you an insight on Facebook connect and how it can not only help you gain new users and visitors to your website but be beneficial to your users as well. Thanks for listening!

Portfolio (1)

August 1st, 2010 by Brenton Webb, under Website.

Am at the moment adding a portfolio page to the new Weebie website which should be released in a day or two. The portfolio will show you some of the websites i have developed, helped develop or fixed due to errors with the previous developer.

I will make a post when the site is up and ready.

So we all use social networking. We use it to catch up with friends and family, long distant relatives or simply to have fun and play games amongst our friends. Some of the most popular social networks are Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Foursquare and all provide different tools and different styles of communication.

My question for you is what social networks do you use and why do you use them?
